Airbus Helicopters conducted a capability assessment of Pietro Rosa TBM in Maniago on October 12th and 13th. This was an important milestone, Olivier Grunberg, VP GM of Pietro Rosa Forging works, stated: “we are one of the few forgers in the western world with available capacity, our presses and hammers can forge structural parts for the air framers and rotating parts for the engine manufacturers. It was crucial for us to obtain the green light from Airbus, that allows us to support their helicopter programs.”
The assessment awarded Pietro Rosa TBM a 100% ranking, Airbus assessor Philippe Charpenel highlighted: “The availability, transparency and openness of Pietro Rosa TBM that allowed for such a high ranking leads us to believe that Pietro Rosa has the ability to manufacture forged parts (steel and titanium) for Airbus Helicopters”. Pietro Rosa TBM is now looking forward developing new parts for Airbus.
