Project ADAM is a multi-faceted initiative to create an adaptive machining cell for multi-bladed components. The intention is to develop a technological HUB dedicated to the production of components for the aeronautical sector.
The scope of the project is to create an adaptive machining cell for components where there is ”real-time” interconnection between in-process measurement systems, CMM machines, vibration and power absorption sensors and the milling machine itself, enabling a truly integrated one-piece flow.
The data is analysed “live” and feeds a Statistical Process Control (SPC) System in order to monitor the process and predict machining drift or any non-conforming variances prior to creating an error on the part: this represents a huge benefit especially for multibladed components (IBR), as a defect on one airfoil will affect the entire part.
Pietro Rosa TBM is pleased to announce that this project is to receive a grantable contribution equal to EUR 219,764.91 with EUR 1,098,824.56 allowed expenses by decree of the Central Director of production activities, tourism and cooperation n. 2011 / PROTUR 13/6/2018, which is to be published in the Official Bulletin of the Region and available on the Region’s website1.
